April's Feature - Cancer

About 160,000 Canadians were diagnosed with cancer in 2007.

You can reduce your risk of developing cancer by making some key lifestyle changes such as the following: eat healthy; quit smoking & avoid tobacco smoke; be physically active every day; maintain a healthy weight; limit alcohol use; become familiar with your body and all its functions and report any changes to your doctor.

Your pharmacist can assist you in making these lifestyle changes and direct you to helpful community resources as well as cancer screening programs.
