Light Therapy: Education, Products & Services
for Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.)
Up to 25% of Canadians experience some symptoms of S.A.D. each year.
S.A.D. is characterized by recurrent depression at the same time each year. The most common type is winter S.A.D. or "winter blues."
Light therapy products that combat the symptoms of S.A.D. are available at all Dell locations. The following patient services are provided by specially trained staff:
- in-depth consultation, instruction and follow up
- small group learning sessions facilitated by a Dell Pharamcist
- Trial rental period* of S.A.D. products (not applicable to mail order).
- Official medical receipt.
- Free information package.

We carry a variety of Canadian-made 10,000-lux light boxes and portable light therapy products.**
*About our rental program:
You can rent a unit for a two week period for only $50. If you decide to purchase the product your $50 rental fee will be applied to the cost of the unit.
**It is important to note, that some light therapy boxes emit white light which peaks in the blue light spectrum. Recently, there have been reports of the "blue light hazard" which has been linked to Macual Degeneration. To ensure patient safety, we have only selected products that do not peak in the blue light spectrum.
